Like Fedor on Saturday night, Anderson Silva walked through his opponent James Irvin in his light heavyweight debut at UFC Fight Night 14 at The Palms in Vegas.

His 61-second knockout of "The Sandman" earned him a cool $200,000 and upped his record to 22-4. Lets see, at $200,000 a minute that comes out to be 12 million dollars an hour.

Amazingly, Brandon Vera pocketed the same amount for his unanimous decision victory over former IFL member Reese Andy. Unlike Silva, half of Vera’s $200,000 was a win bonus.

I was really disappointed with Brandon Vera’s lackluster performance at 205lbs.
I was a huge fan of his when he had a lot less to lose, now he’s turning a little Tim Sylviaish on us. Hopefully he learns to cut more effectively for his next fights at 205.
As far as Anderson Silva, jesus, what can you say? us mere mortals will never be able to understand how good this guy really is.

Actually I haven’t even got the chance to watch that event yet. But yes I noticed a change in Vera since his fight with Sylvia. He wasn’t the same in that fight either. Maybe Sylvia cursed him.

So you think his lackluster performance was due to the weight cutting?

Yes I was shocked that Silva beat Irvin…jk

Vera mentioned how the cut affected him during the post fight interview. But you know, Liddell, Rampage, Griffin, etc. all cut more than him and they are fine. So i hope he gets used to it.
