According to MMAJunkie.com, the official partner of Inside MMA on HDNet, Tito Ortiz has plans to share some big news on tonight’s edition of Inside MMA regarding the future of his fight career.
Here is the preview of tonight’s episode:
While Ortiz doesn’t officially reveal what exactly the annoucement will be in the preview, he does hint at a deal that will bring him some big fights in the near future.
“It’s the first time I’m a free agent in 11 years,” said Ortiz, who recently fulfilled the terms of his previous UFC contract. “This is an opportunity I’ve got to get some of the biggest fights of my career; (they’re) still ahead of me.
The 33 year old goes on to say that he is at the same age as Couture, which is when Couture actually started his pro career in mixed martial arts.
In recent weeks there has been a ton of speculation that the free agent would be signing with Affliction and possibly fighting at their encore show “Day of Reckoning.” However, the rumors quickly died out when Affliction’s VP Tom Atencio officially denied even talking to “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy.”
Tonight’s Inside MMA airs on HDNet at 9:30pm ET/PT so don’t miss it. Joining Ortiz on the panel will be Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson and Guy Mezger. Ron Kruck also has an exclusive interview with Rashad Evans regarding his upcoming blowout with Chuck Liddell in Atlanta at UFC 88.
If you don’t have access to HDNet or simply won’t be able to catch tonight’s show, RedSweat will be bringing you Tito’s big announcement tonight immediately following the show.
