Episode two of "The Ultimate Fighter 7" aired tonight at 10pm on Spike TV and the final eight elimination fights took place.

It was another full hour of non-stop wall to wall action with the final 16 fighters letting it all go inside the cage to decide who gets a spot in the TUF 7 house. Last week we revealed the first eight fighters to make it onto the show.

Now we give you the final 16 middleweights that will be competing for the notorious six figure UFC contract.

Episode two started out with a bang and involved one of the most devastating knockouts ever on the show. It went down during the first fight between Serra Jiu-Jitsu student, Dan Simmler and his opponent Matthew Riddle.

Round one was exciting with Riddle getting the better of the stand up and more or less controlling the action with his wrestling ability. At one point Simmler went for a flying armbar but paid with some punches and elbows on the mat. Dan spent the last part of the round tying up Riddle who was unable to do much damage but most likely took the round.

Round two was basically over before it began. Dan Simmler went to throw a kick and got completely crushed by a right hook from Riddle that stopped Simmler dead in his tracks. Matthew immediately pounced on Dan and sealed the deal with a few more punches to the already unconscious Dan. Still down on the mat Simmler began to moan repeatedly in what became a very surreal and eerie moment for everyone watching. You can hear the doctor comment that his jaw is a mess.

When Simmler finally comes around he is unaware that he was just in a fight. He starts to repeatedly ask if it was a real fight or practice when it happened? He is finally loaded into the ambulance and taken to the hospital. Needless to say Forrest Griffin was impressed with Riddle’s punching power. Rampage called it the "Knockout of the Century".

Update: Here is the video of Simmler suffering from memory loss moments after the knockout.

There were some other really good fights as well including a dominating performance from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Timothy Credeur who made quick work of Erik Charles with a first round armbar.

Here is the final cast of 16 middleweights and how they got there:

  1. Matthew Riddle (Defeated Dan Simmler via KO)
  2. Luke Zachrich (Defeated Patrick Schultz via Rear Naked Choke)
  3. Timothy Credeur (Defeated Erik Charles via Armbar)

At the end of the show Dana said this to the new TUF7 cast.

"We came up with his concept to get rid of the p***ies and the posers," Dana said. "There’s none here in this room today."
