Tapout, seen by many as the premier name in mixed martial arts apparel, has decided to jump on the Kimbo train and merge with the street fighter turned huge mma celebrity. Tapout announced yesterday that the company will sponsor Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson. They will be creating a joint apparel line under the Tapout brand, and Tapout will now be Kimbo’s exclusive apparel sponsor.

“Kimbo is the real deal,” said Mask, TapouT Founder. “He is the ultimate underdog who kept his nose to the grindstone and rose up to become one of the most well-known MMA fighters out there. Kimbo is tough, but full of heart, and we’re excited to take him from the cage to the clothing.”

“I want to thank the whole TapouT FAM for taking an interest in me and team Kimbo,” said Kimbo Slice. Also thank you guys for allowing us to be a part of your FAM…and the tightest gear out there. Hey man, my team is psyched, team Kimbo is psyched.”

Further details regarding the Tapout/Kimbo line will be released in the coming months.

HA is this a joke? Cause I know Kimbo is. Brett Rodgers is going to kill kimbo. I bet they are going to find some way to keep kimbo from fighting that guy. I mean think about it, elite xc is going to throw bad fighters at kimbo to keep him undefeated so I guess tapout just saw that as a good investent.

maybe they are waiting to sign Shannon Ritch (the guy is 39-61, he has gone on two 10 plus losing streaks, but right now he’s in a three fight win streak, two of those wins to the same guy who sports a solid 1-5 record)
but hey he’s got three wins in a row, he is a solid opponent for Kimbo Slice in EliteXc’s eyes.
