EliteXC’s StrikeForce "Shamrock vs Cung Le" is set to go off tonight at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA. The event will be available on Showtime starting a 9pm ET/PT.

In case you haven’t heard, Nick Diaz and Jake Shields are off the card. Now Drew Fickett who was suppose to face Shields will be taking on Nick Diaz’s original opponent, Jae Suk Lim.

Live results for the prelims will begin at 8pm ET sharp. Play by play commentary for the main card will begin at 9pm ET.

• Jesse Jones vs Jesse Gillespie (Jesse Jones wins via TKO (Strikes) at 0:35 in the 1st round)

Joey Villasenor vs Ryan Jensen (Middleweight Bout)

• Round 1: After some feeling out with punches the fighters clinch. Villasenor gets the takedown and into side control. Jensen gains full guard and Joe isn’t doing much. Joey finally postures up and comes down with a punch. Jensen escapes and they are back to their feet. Villasenor tags Jensen who comes back with some nice combos. They start to slug it out and Villasenor knocks out Jensen cold with a beautiful right hand.

• Final Result: Joey Villasenor wins via KO (Punch) at 4:45 in the 1st round.

Mike Kyle vs Wayne Cole (Heavyweight Bout)

• Round 1: After a few missed punches from both fighters, Cole goes for a shot and takes down Kyle. He passes to side control and then jumps into a fight ending armbar.
• Round 2:

• Final Result: Wayne Cole wins via Submission (Armbar) at 0:42 in the 1st round.

Gilbert Melendez vs Gabe Lemley (Lightweight Title Bout)

• Round 1: They start to trade and Gilbert immediately lands a shot that stuns Gabe momentarily. Melendez shoots and takes down Lemley. Gilbert lands a couple of nice shots from full guard. Gabe works on a reverse triangle but Melendez gains side control. Lemley avoids full mount but Gilbert postures and starts to reign some blows. Melendez unleashes with a barrage of hammerfist. Lemley is already busted up around the eyes. Melendez continues to hammer away with unrelenting ground and pound. Melendez starts to reign down hammerfist and lets it all go at the end of the round smashing Lemley and almost ending the fight. I score it 10/8 for Melendez.
• Round 2: After landing a hard shot Melendez takes down Gabe with ease. He starts to bring down the hammerfist. Gilbert continues to control and dominate the fight. He gains side control and Melendez pounds Lemley out with punches on the ground.

• Final Result: Gilbert Melendez wins via TKO (Strikes) at 2:18 in the 2nd round.

Drew Fickett vs Jae Suk Lim (Welterweight Bout)

• Round 1: Fickett immediately goes in for the clinch but they separate. Drew shoots in but is reversed and he sweeps into half guard. Fickett locks in a guillotine and finished Suk Lim.

• Final Result: Drew Fickett wins via Guillotine Choke at 1:14 in the 1st round.

Frank Shamrock vs Cung Le (Middleweight Championship Bout)

• Round 1: Le starts to land some kicks and Shamrock goes for a takedown but misses. Le gets off a nice combo that lands. They continue to trade punches and kicks. Cung lands another nice combo but Frank continues to hang. Le lands a brutal kick to the midsection of Shamrock. Le goes for a spinning back kick and Frank returns with a nice combo. Frank rushes in with a barrage of punches but Le returns. Shamrock lands a nice right and starts to tee off. Amazing round.
• Round 2: Frank lands a nice body kick to start off the round. Le lands a nice roundhouse kick that sends Franks mouthpiece flying. They taunt each other after. Le tags him with a straight left. Frank ask Le to come to the ground taunting him after falling to the mat. Le lands a nice cut kick. Le lands a good right side kick and then a vicious right hand that makes Frank smile. Le is starting to pick apart Frank a little.
• Round 3: Le lands a nice body kick. Le lands a nice combination. Frank continues to stalk Le who is getting the better of the punches. Le lands a brutal left body kick. Le lands a beautiful spinning back fist. Le then sweeps Frank with a low kick that sends Frank to the mat. The crowd roars. Shamrock keeps eating punches and kicks. Frank lands a nice punch that rocks Le and Shamrock starts to unload. Frank lands another big right hand. They start to slug it out and Le ends the round with a devastating head kick. The head kick was the end for Frank who knelt down to one knee and could not come out for the 4th round.
