Shinya Aoki vs Todd Moore Rounds out DREAM.6 Card

The fight card for DREAM.6 is now complete, topped off today with a headliner between submission wiz Shinya Aoki and WEC fighter Todd “Maniac” Moore.

DREAM.6, which takes place on September 23rd at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan, will conclude it’s Middleweight GP with semifinal and final bouts. The semifinals feature some strong talent including power striker Melvin Manhoef who smashed his way through the legend Kazushi Sakuraba in the quarter finals.

Also highlighting the card is a highly anticipated “Masters Fight” between Mirko Crocop and Alistair Overeem. Crocop continues his journey back to the top after two very disappointing losses in the UFC last year.

Russian Sergei Kharitonov will be making his much anticipated return after nearly a year out of action to bang it out with Siala “Mighty Mo” Siliga. According to Crocop, the winners of that bout will take on the winner of his bout for the DREAM heavyweight crown sometime in the future.

During a press conference today Aoki, adorned in his signature rainbow spandex, spoke with the media about his decision to participate on the DREAM.6 card. Aoki will take on the relatively unknown Todd Moore who has gotten off to a rocky start in the WEC losing his first two bouts back to back.

Aoki recently lost for the first time in 14 bouts to Joachim Hansen at DREAM.5 via a shocking TKO in the first round. Shinya was crushed by the victory which cost him the coveted Lightweight GP title.
