According to MMA News, a heavyweight bout between IFL heavyweight champion Roy Nelson and Xtreme Couture fighter Jay White has been added to Affliction’s rapidly growing "Day of Reckoning" fight card set for October 11 in Vegas.

The bout will compliment the heavyweight main attraction between Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett. MMA News confirmed the cards latest addition with Jay White during the International MMA Expo this past weekend in Long Beach.

"I just signed a three fight deal with Affliction" stated White to MMANews.com "The opponent they gave me was Roy Nelson"

Roy "Big Country" Nelson, one of many reported IFL fighters who were released last week, will head into his bout with White on a five fight win streak. Nelson stopped all four of his last opponents with punches.

Jay White has struggled throughout his professional career winning only two of his seven total fights. He recently turned around a 4 fight losing streak with a victory over Patrick Castillo at HDNet Fights "Reckless Abandon" in December of last year. However, three of those losses came at the hands of Jake O’Brien and Jeff Monson who silenced him twice with submissions.
