Former IFL middleweight Benji Radach has just confirmed with Sherdog.com that he is among the list of participants who will get a shot to display their skills at EliteXC’s third "Primetime" installment of "Saturday Night Fights" on October 4th. The former UFC fighter will battle Murilo "Ninja" Rua, brother of "Shogun" who’s fight with Jackson was just announced, on the Network TV card. Like their first two event’s, EliteXC is pulling out all the stops to make this show a success. The card already features two of the organization’s biggest draws, Kimbo Slice and Gina Carano. The organization also recently bumped up their star power to include EliteXC welterweight champ Jake Shields who will take on British sensation Paul Daley for the title. |

Radach, who recently signed a three-fight deal with EliteXC, hopes to do well at his "Primetime" debut despite that fact that he took the fight on short notice.
Radach will look to get back to his winning ways since losing via a shocking knockout to the IFL’s Matt Horwich in December, 2007. The 29 year old from Castle Rock, Washington, hasn’t fought since then. At 18-4, Radach has a knack for putting people to sleep and has finished 14 of his opponents via T(KO). Murilo Rua, the former EliteXC middleweight champ, lost his belt after only three months to former UFC vet Robbie Lawler at EliteXC "Uprising" in September of last year. Since that loss, he has reeled off two straight wins against Xavier Foupa-Pokam and most recently Tony Bonello in June. "Ninja" is back in the hunt to reclaim the belt which he enjoyed for such a short amount of time. Expect a stand up clinic in this fight. |
