MFC (Maximum Fighting Championship) 15 "Rags to Riches" took place on February 22 at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Enoch, Alberta.

A sold out crowd of 2100 hometown fans packed the arena to see their hometown boy Ryan Ford throw down with UFC veteran Pete "The Secret Weapon" Spratt in the highly anticipated main event of the night. The two welterweights were done with the trash talking and ready to walk the walk inside the cage.

The first round was highly intense and fast paced as both fighters traded punches, takedowns and slams. At the end of the first round controversy struck as Ford landed a violent elbow that dazed a defenseless Spratt after the bell.

The crowd was so loud that apparently the ref Herb Dean nor Ryan Ford heard the bell sound. Spratt was given two minutes to recover and decided to continue the brawl.

At the beginning of round two Ford took advantage of a now weary Spratt jetting out of his corner to attack the San Antonio native. He overwhelmed Spratt with punches and then jumped on Pete’s back to sink in the Mataleon. A defenseless Spratt tapped out on his way to the canvas. After only 9 months of competing as a pro Ryan Ford is now undefeated with five straight wins. This fight proved that he is more than just a fleeting glimpse and that he really is "The Real Deal".

In a middleweight showdown Colorado’s Chris Camozzi squared off in his MFC debut against Ultimate Fighter 3 alumni Jesse Forbes. Forbes put an end to Camozzi’s win streak with an amazing comeback that had people jumping out of their seats. After two rounds of eating continuous fist and razor sharp elbows from Chris Camozzi Forbes had several cuts on his forehead as well as the bridge of his nose. He was in bad shape as doctors almost stopped the fight on three different occasions.

At the beginning of round three Forbes was gassed but he was not going to let it affect his desire and will to win. As the fight got underway it was more of the same and it started to look like Camozzi had this one in the bag. Chris took Jesse down to the mat one final time but this time Jesse wasn’t going to have it. He slipped free, took Chris’s back and locked in a tight armbar all in a matter of seconds to steal the win from Carozzi. Dean was forced to step in and stop the fight. Forbes pulls out the win at 1:45 in the third round and extends his record to 6-2.
