Slated to fight in one of three championship matches at EliteXC’s July 26th event, Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva has just acquired an opponent in the form of Justin Eilers, a former UFC fighter. According to Fiveouncesofpain.com, the two heavyweights have verbally agreed to meet inside the cage for EliteXC’s first ever heavyweight title. |

They were expected to sign bout agreements late this afternoon. Due to the fact that only four fights have earned a slot on what will be EliteXC’s only second nationally televised broadcast, the title fight will likely air on the Showtime portion of the event which precedes the televised card on CBS. EliteXC’s "Unfinished Business" will take place at the Stockton Arena in Stockton, CA, hometown of resident trouble-maker Nick Diaz who will appear on the main televised card. Headlining the show is a rematch between EliteXC middleweight champion Robbie Lawler and Scott "Hands of Steel" Smith. With controversy surrounding their first bout, the two will finally get a chance to finish where they left off and cement a clear cut winner. A product of the world renowned Miletich Fighting Systems, Justin Eilers will look to make it four in a row in what could be his toughest challenge to date. Eilers is currently on a roll, winning 10 of his last 11 fights. His most recent loss came at the hands of former UFC vet Pedro Rizzo who defeated him via unanimous decision at Art of War 1 last March. Justin has an impressive record of 19-6-1 with 17 of his 19 victories ending via stoppage. Antonio Silva has won his last three fights as well most recently taking out Former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez at EliteXC "Street Certified" via a split decision. The American Top Team fighter’s only loss during his 3 year pro career was handed to him by Eric "Big" Pele who took him out with strikes in the first round at Bodog Fight back in December of 2006.
