Dana White to Make Major Announcement Today at 3pm / Update: It’s Official

According to UFC.com, UFC President Dana White has a big announcement in store for fans today at 3pm ET/PT. The announcement will take place during a press conference via phone.

The announcement could very well be the resigning of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture. As we stated in a previous post, MMARated reported that the UFC was hoping to announce Couture’s new contract as early as Tuesday which ironically would be today.

With rumors swirling it could be a number of things including Brock Lesnar vs Randy Couture at UFC 91 in November or Fedor Emelianenko vs Randy Couture in early 2009.

Any predictions even though I’m pretty positive it’s going to be Couture’s new contract?

Update: Its official, Couture has signed a new multi-fight contract with the UFC. White confirmed the news and also announced that Couture will take on Brock Lesnar at UFC 91 on November 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas. Click here to read the official post.
