A new organization in mixed martial arts called Fite Selektor is coming to Dubai in March.

The organization is like nothing you have ever seen before.

For the first time ever in the history of MMA, four fighters will compete in a single bout and will be allowed to tag their teammate when they need help. In addition the audience will decide who fights who using a SMS text voting system on the night of the event.

The first tournament will take place on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Dubai International and Convention Centre. Eight fighters will compete in the tournament. At the beginning of the tournament, the eight fighters will take the stage, and the audience will decide the fights by text messaging. The fighter and his opponent will be chosen using the SMS votes for three of the fights. The final fight will be arranged through a process of elimination. There will be 4 Fite Selektor fights total.

After their debut tournament in Dubai, the organization will travel to other parts of the Middle East and South Asia. The winner of the Fite Selektor tournament will receive $75,000.

Fite Selektor aims to transform the Martial Arts Industry through it’s creation of a multimedia concept, viral campaigns, web communities and interactive gala events. The event aims to entertain audiences both inside and outside the ring.
