After back to back losses and nearly a year and a half without tasting victory, Canadian fighter Denis Kang is finally back on the winning track.

The 30 year old made quick work of Jae Young Kim on Sunday at Spirit MC 18, defeating the South Korean fighter via strikes for the third consecutive time in his career. Let’s just say Kang has Kim’s number. The combined time it took Kang to dispose of Kim on all three occasions is 3:47.

Jae Young Kim was on an impressive 6-0 run before succumbing to the Kang of old in a minute thirty one.

Kang, a favorite to win the DREAM.2 middleweight tournament back in April, shocked fans when he was quickly eliminated by Armenian Gegard Mousasi via a first round triangle choke. Denis, who had trained extremely hard for the GP, found himself in a position he is not that accustomed to, losing the fight. It was obvious by his performance that the Kang of old was not present that night in Japan.

However, Kang went back to the drawing board and has now managed to pick up the pieces and get his fight game back on track. At 30 years old the French-Korean has at least ten more years of fighting ahead of him if he so chooses. With a record of 29-10-1, the sky is the limit for Denis Kang.
