david terrell leaves ufc

GracieFighter.com just released news that David Terrell, long time UFC fighter, will be leaving the organization to search for new employment with a new organization.

Terrell’s debut in the UFC was back in August of 2004 at UFC 49 where he knocked out current top ten middleweight Matt Lindland in only 0:24 of the first round. He has done well in the UFC winning two of his only three bouts over a four year period. His last fight in the UFC was a victory over Scott Smith at UFC 59 where he finished the with a technically sound rear naked choke in under four minutes of the first round

Unfortunately since that fight Terrell has been plagued with injuries and has not been happy with the financial situation of his UFC contract.

After sitting out the remainder of his contract Terrell is now ready to move his career forward into a positive direction.

There is no word yet of any potential organizations that Dave is looking into but I am sure it won’t take long for "The Soul Assassin" to find work considering his 6-2 record and stoppage of Matt Lindland. David is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu artist who also has heavy hands and can handle a fight no matter where it goes. Four of his wins have came by way of submission. He made his pro debut back in August of 1999 at the IFC’s Warriors Challenge 4 where he chalked up is first loss in a close decision match with Vernon "The Tiger" White.
