Brock Lesnar will be featured in the February 2008 edition of Muscle & Fitness Magazine. The magazine crew visits Lesnar in Minneapolis to document a day of Brock’s training and to see what he goes through in preparation for his bout against Frank Mir at UFC 81 on February 2. |

The former WWE star made his mma debut back in June of 2007 making quick work of Min Soo Kim at K-1 Hero’s Dynamite event. The 6′2" 265 giant is hoping to make a smooth transition into mixed martial arts. More and more athletes are making the move to mma from other sports. It seems to be a popular trend among boxers and pro wrestlers. So far the results have been less than impressive. I’m not sure some of these guys know exactly what they are getting into when dive head first into a sport that takes more than just strength and will power to win. Johnnie Morton is a prime example of this. His mma career was stopped dead in it’s tracks in June of 2007. He was knocked out in 38 seconds flat in his mixed martial arts debut and hasn’t fought since. If the old Frank Mir comes to play it’s going to be a long night for Lesnar especially if he gets into a ground war with the former heavyweight Champ. Mir was a vicious submission artist in his day. I just hope he has it together for this match in February. |
